New Program aids Young Adults in Quitting - March 23rd, 2009

SOS has joined forces with the Young Adult Quit (YAQ) Smoking Study to help young adults stop using tobacco and halt smoking’s harmful side effects.  The free smoking cessation program is targeted at young adults ages 18-30.

The study is specially tailored to the needs of young adults, and offers many benefits in addition to the obvious health benefits of quitting smoking.  In addition to receiving smoking cessation materials (i.e., access to an online cessation program, access to a telephone quitline, or a self-help cessation booklet), participants are also eligible for up to two weeks of free nicotine replacement therapy.  A $20 incentive is also available to participants who complete the program.

Visit www.yaqstudy.org for more information or to enroll in the study.
